Pretty Girl Lip Gloss Treatment in “Darling!” Review & Swatches

Pretty Girl Makeup Gloss Darling!

This is a clear gloss that will last a whole work/school day on your lips! This formula is one of the longest lasting lip glosses that I have ever tried. This is also a lip treatment and will leave your lips extremely soft and hydrated!

The formula is unique; it binds with skin but not with itself. When I apply it on my lips or when I was doing the swatches below it grips onto my skin similar to how honey sticks. However, it does not feel sticky when you press your lips together. It is a heavy gloss so you will sense it on your lips. This does not have a scent.

This gloss will last you an entire day! It will stay very glossy for many hours and then slowly transition into a beautiful shine and after 7+ hours or so it will leave your lips naturally shiny from the hydrating oils that it contains.

This lip gloss/treatment has macadamia nut oil, olive oil, shea butter, grape seed oil and lastly Vitamin E which will nourish your lips and plump them with hydration.

How to get Daytime makeup to Nightime in under 5 minutes!

How to get Daytime makeup to Night time GLAM in under 5 minutes!

It’s almost 5:00! You have had the longest day in history but the good news, you have a dinner date that you have been looking forward to all day! You are mildly freaking out that you have literally 5 minutes to get  home to quickly shower, get your hair back the  amazing way it looked this morning at 6:00 am and get your everyday makeup stepped up a notch to Uber Glam! Here are a few quick steps to help the process! Before we begin, go make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, turn on the music to what ever makes you feel happy and take 3 deep breaths! Let’s get going we have 5 minutes!

To see Christina’s 5 minute tips on video, click on this!

1. Wipe your face of any excess oils and dirt with a tissue or an oil absorbing sheets that are very crucial to use before you add anymore “warpaint”. If you are at the office and have neither of these products, use a toilet seat cover! No kidding, it works!

2. Use a Q-tip to clean up any smudges under your eyes from liner or mascara.

3. Add a touch, and I mean only a touch of eye cream before you add the concealer, which will go on smoother and look lighter. Touch up your foundation and or add some powder to your face to even out any unevenness, because after a long day at work, we all need a bit of an illusion of looking awake.

4. Fill in your brows with some shadow  or pencil to give the polished sophisticated look we want after five, plus your brows are the frame of your gorgeous eyes!

5. Use a black liner on your top lid, or use a black shadow to add a line close into your lashes. A think heavy line is going to make small eyes look smaller but if that’s not your issue make it a bit thicker for some drama! Add a dark brown or black shadow under your eye, close into the lashes.

6. Under the brow,  add  a light creamy colored  eyeshadow such as  Sea Glass. In the crease of your eyes add a grey, black or a color you love for that smokey eye look we all love to have at night!

7. Touch up the mascara on the top and bottom of your lashes to make those eyes stand out.

8. A splash of blush  or bronzer to your cheeks for some color if you are feeling a bit pale and to accentuate those cheek bones.

9. Get that darker lipstick out Girleee! Turn your lips into rich and luscious with a swipe of Soul Mates Lipgloss that lasts through dinner!

You are all done! Have a fabulous night Pretty Girl!

Christina Flach CEO/Founder of Pretty Girl Makeup shares  her celebrity Makeup tips!

Behind the scenes.

Behind the scenes with Lizzie Bermudez and Mim Lyon at Tovani Salon in Mill Valley.

It was incredibly exciting to be interviewed by Lizzie Bermudez for Bay Area Life on ABC (Click to watch). As a MUA (Makeup Artist), I automatically look at the face, evaluate what needs to be done to make the face as beautiful, yet  as natural as possible, while in my mind choosing  the concealer, foundation, eyeshadow, blush, lipglosslipstick. I don’t ever have to verbalizie what, how or why I am doing what I am doing when I am on a shoot. I am used to being  on a set, chatting with my models about what’s new, exciting in their life, on TV or  disscusing what  we are wishing  we could eat, while trying to get  it done as quickly  and as professionally as possible. We taped 6 tips in about three hours and the other 3 tips will be airing soon!

I hope you like the Bay Area Life segment!

Please feel free to pass it on

Wishing all the Pretty Girl's a Happy Lipstick Day!

Wishing all the Pretty Girl’s a Happy Lipstick Day!

Today is Lipstick Day! Are you buying a new Lipstick or wearing your favorite one? I thought we should know a bit more about the history one of our favorite beauty products: LIPSTICK!

First manmade lipsticks appeared around four to five thousand years ago in Ancient Mesopotamia. Women there used to grind precious gems and decorate lips with their dust.
Powerful and wealthy Ancient Egyptians used lipsticks regularly. It is said that Cleopatra liked red lipstick.
“Kiss of Death” is a term that is commonly associated with lipstick. It was coined because of the
Some civilizations did not allow women to appear in public without extensive facial makeup. Japanese for example.
80% of the American women regularly wear lipstick and over 25% won’t leave house without wearing it.
Lipsticks have expiration date and can become rancid. Storing them in fridges can prolong their life.
Main ingredients of modern lipsticks are waxes (even natural beeswax), oils, pigments and emollients. For protecting lips against elements, lipsticks and lip gloss can also have vitamin E, collagen, amino acids, aloe vera, sunscreen and moisturizers.
For the long time in European Middle Ages, red lipsticks was associated with Satan worshiping.
During dark and middle ages in Europe, lipsticks were often viewed as a fashion accessory of prostitutes and lower class women. The only time when it was used in high circles was during and shortly after the reign of English Queen Elizabeth I.
Lip Gloss was introduced to the public in 1930 by Max Factor Company.
1998 survey of American women showed that 32% of them owned more than 20 lipsticks.

The most famous Actresses that popularized lipsticks were Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor.
First swivel up lipstick in a tube appeared in 1923.
Studies have shown that lipstick sales tend to rise during gloomy or rainy days.

Bottom Line… Lipstick makes you HAPPY and really, that’s all that matters! Smile, wear your lipstick and kiss everyone you love today!!

Anne Heche: This very point top feels very harsh, and the openings with the belt over it are not blowing my skirt up with excitement. I think a simpler shoe would be more attractive.

Jen Lilley: The short jacket over the longer top doesn’t feel chic.

Lisa Rinna: I am obsessed with the color and the fit of this gown. Plus, her hair and makeup are flawless!
